No I'm not talking about the Lottery, just more on the Federal Economic Stimulus Rebates. Seniors, the disabled, and low income filers who collected more than $3,000 in wages, social security, or veterans disability benefits are entitled to get the rebates.
There's only one problem. Some of these people are not required to file a federal tax return. So the IRS advises that they must file a return regardless and show their taxable and nontaxable income in order to get the rebate.
So if this applies to your parents, aunt, uncles, friends, enemies, etc., you might want to spread the word around. Free money is available for the asking. $300 for singles, and $600 for couples. You just have to file a 2007 Form 1040.
